Grade R Commencement Ceremony

Updated: Dec 20, 2023

On Monday, 4 December 2023, we celebrated our Grade R leaners.

After completing a school readiness assessment from the Department of Education of Gauteng, the learners are declared school ready and this must be celebrated!

We call the ceremony a Commencement ceremony as the children are commencing to primary school.

Our ceremony was held at Doxa Deo Meyersdal was filled with love, fun and laughter.

Dieter Botha opened the ceremony with scripture and prayer. Morgan Nel from ACSI brought a message that fit right in with our theme: Reach for the stars!

The Grade R learners performed 2 songs and one poem for the audience. Teacher Hanli Erasmus who recently obtained her Honours degree in Educational Psychology, really did a great job in getting everyone school ready.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Teacher Hanli as she has accepted a position at a primary school. Christali Botha, Director of Train Kids, gave a farewell speech and presented Hanli with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Our best wishes accompany Hanli on her new journey.

Every child had to tell the audience what they want to become when they are grown up:

Giovanni de Guisti – A Daddy

Talayna Aldred – A ballet teacher

Rogan Coetzee– A rugby player

Anya Masindi – A firefighter

Tumelo Muhanganei – A doctor

Future Alberton - we've got you sorted!

A big congratulations to all our Grade R parents.

You have the right to feel extremely proud of your children.

When you enrolled them at Train Kids you promised to help us train them up in the way they should go. Now, we know God’s promise in Proverbs 22:6 stands firm: for when they are old, they will not depart from that way.
