Train Kids' view on the Corona virus

We are all aware of the Corona /COVID-19 virus.

TRAIN KIDS PRESCHOOL ACADEMY takes this very seriously and would like to inform you about a few issues that raise concern.

HYGIENE AT TRAIN KIDS

Hygiene and cleanliness have always been of utmost importance at the school.

We contracted SPRINKLE SPRAY to disinfect the whole school on a Tuesday morning before the children arrive.

During the Corona virus scare period, enhancements are also applied by SPRINKLE SPRAY.

The whole school (inside and outside) is cleaned on a daily basis. As soon as a floor or surface is washed, SPRINKLE SPRAY is re-applied. We buy the product in spray form from them.

There are soap dispensers in all the classes for the children to use during their toilet routine.

Children are expected to wash their hands at least 6 times per day as it forms part of our set daily routine.

Hand sanitizer by SPRINKLE SPRAY is used before a teacher wipes a child’s nose and again afterwards. Hand sanitizer is available in each class as well as outside.

PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO ORDER THE PRODUCTS FOR HOME USE

WHO IS AT RISK?

Children: Children, on the other hand, don’t appear to get as sick. Very few develop the disease in the first place, and if they do, only a small group develops severe or critical disease. No young children have died from the virus in China.

Researchers are still trying to figure out why that’s the case. It may be that children’s lungs are less susceptible to infection or that their immune systems are stronger. Children might carry the virus around, though, and pass it between each other and then to their parents and caregivers.

People with chronic conditions: People who have underlying health conditions like high blood pressure, kidney disease, cancer, or diabetes are also more likely to get very sick or die from COVID-19. Around 9 percent of people with diabetes who contracted the virus died, for example, as did around 8 percent of people with high blood pressure. The CDC also recommends that people in this group avoid crowds, stick close to home, and stock up on medication for their condition if they’re able to.
